Day 01

Upon your arrival one of our well experience representative (Driver/Guide) will warmly welcome you at Bandaranayake International Air port & with refreshments proceed to Dambulla. En route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. The orphanage was primarily designed to afford care and protection to the baby elephants found in the jungle without their parents.

 

Next you visit Golden Temple at Dambulla, It is the home to the World’s most acclaimed Cave complex of magnificent Buddha Images and Rock Paintings. Massive rock from the surrounding plains of Dambulla of 600 feet high and over 2000 feet in length

Day 02

Breakfast at the hotel you climb Sigiriya Fortres (1200 Steps & 200m high) Sigiriya is an archeological site in the North Central Sri Lanka. As well as known as Lion Rock.  It contains the ruins of an ancient palace complex.  The most exquisite example of ancient Sri Lankan art, architecture and landscaping & one of the world heritage sites in Sri Lanka & considering 8th wonder of the World

Next  you visit Ritigala,- Ritigala is a range of mountains which is near Anuradhapura in the dry zone of Sri Lanka. There are many monastic ruins of stones, terrace ways, circular terraces, a stone bridge, and remains of a giant stone banked pond built across a water stream.

Day 03

Breakfast at the hotel you drive to Kandy. En route visit “Herbal Garden” at Matale. Matale Herbal gardens are among the best on the Island. You will get the chance of seeing how spices & herbs like Turmeric/Pepper cones/Cloves/Cardamom/ Nutmeg/Vanilla/ Cinnamon/Cocoa/Aloe Vera E.g.

 

 

Next you visit Nalanda Gedige-   it’s a curious hybrid of Buddhist and Hindu architecture. Some of the design elements are distinctly Hindu, such as the “Mandapam” or hall of waiting. It is one of the remarkable archaeological sites in Sri Lanka.

Next you visit Sri Muththumari Amman Hindu temple- Its outer walls are covered with hundreds of carvings and statues of different renowned Hindu characters, gods and deities.

Day 04

Breakfast at the hotel you visit the last Sinhalese Kingdom of Kandy, until 1815 it was captured and ruled by the British.  Famous for the Temple of tooth that houses Lord Buddha’s sacred tooth relic, home of the Esala Perahera.

Enjoy the beauteous scenes of Peradeniya Botanical Gardens.

 

If you intend shopping, Kandy is   one of the best places for buying Gems, Handicrafts, Silk E.g.

 

 Enjoy with the Kandy Cultural Shows in the evening.

Day 05

Breakfast at the hotel you drive to Adams Peak, en route visit Kitulgala- Whitewater rafting at Kitulgala holds out the chance to enjoy the stunning tropical scenery of the region. This high adventure is suitable for the maiden rafters and experts alike. Kitulgala was chosen as the main location in David Lean s movie Bridge on the River Kwai filmed in 1957.

Next you proceed to Adams peak.

Day 06

Early wake up at 2.30am, & you climb the amazing Adams Peak. This is Sri Lanka is fourth highest mountain at 2244 Meter high.  It is nine hours walk up & down. As per a famous legend it is presumed that Lord Buddha had placed his sacred foot print on the top of the summit of the Adams peak.

Around 6.30 am, you will be able to see the delightful Sunrise, and back to hotel around 9.30am, you are your breakfast and rest for a while in the hotel then driven to Ella.

 

En route you visit St. Clairs fall, this is one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka and is commonly known as the "Little Niagara of Sri Lanka"

 

Next you visit “Devon falls” This Waterfall is 97 meters high and ranked 19th highest in the Island.

Day 07

Breakfast at the hotel you drive to Thissamaharama. En route hiking “Little Adam’s Peak” It is 1141 m in height. Views from the summit are incredible. 360 degrees panoramic views with clouds rolling in, is a treat to watch for any traveler. Ella Gap &Ella Rock can be seen at the summit of Little Adams peak.

 

Then you have driven to see wonderful nine arch bridge. This bridge, which is almost 100 years old, has been built with blocks of stone and cement without any strengthening iron or concrete. The giant arches take the bridge on a curved path to link to mountains.

 Next you visit “Rawana falls” approximately 25m (82 ft) in height and cascades from an oval-shaped concave rock outcrop.

Next you visit Buduruwagala Temple- On a massive rock, somewhat similar in shape of an elephant lying down, is a courtly group of seven figures carved in high relief two bodhisattvas, each attended by two figures, stands on either side of a 16m high central Buddha figure.

Day 08

Early wake up at 5.30am, with takeaway breakfast you leave to Yala national park. This is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka, the park is best known for its variety of wild animals like Leopards, Elephants, Bears, Crocodiles, Peacocks, Jungle fowls E.g. 

 

After the safari you driven to Galle, travelling along elegant coastal line, you can see spectacular Tangalle beach

 

Next you visit Weurukannala Temple at Dikwella. /Dondra Temple.

 

 In the evening you visit Galle Dutch Fort situated facing the Indian Ocean,   Galle Dutch Fort is one of the UNESCO heritage site in Sri Lanka.

Overnight stay in Unawatuna.

Day 09

Breakfast at the hotel you visit Sinharaja Rain Forest - Forest Reserve is considered one of the most important natural habitats in Sri Lanka. This majestic rainforest was deemed an International Man and Biosphere Reserve in 1978 and deservedly designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1989. The forest offers a huge diversity of species both flora and fauna with a large proportion of those being indigenous to the country and some more specifically endemic to Sinharaja itself.
